NSE and BSE both have marked both the days of Mahavir Jayanti on 31 March 2026 and Good Friday on April 3 as National Holidays on their official websites, respectively. The time is very sensitive as it is the end of Fiscal Year 2025-26 and the start of another new financial year for the Finance Industry.
While discussing commodity trading, it will have a different schedule to be followed as the Multi-Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) will remain open in the evening session that is 5 PM to 11:30 PM, while it will be shut on the same day following the morning (9 am to 5 pm) session following Mahavir Jayanti on March, 31.
